Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Mainak Pandit, a sole proprietor based in India (“Nook”, “we”, “us”). They cover the Nook website, apps, browser extension, WhatsApp channel and MCP connector (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, don’t use the Service.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live, or have a parent or guardian’s permission. You sign in with Google. You are responsible for everything done through your account and your connector tokens. Keep them secure, and tell us if you think someone else has access.
2. Free trial and subscription
- Every account starts with a 7-day free trial. No card is needed to start one.
- After the trial, Nook Pro costs $8 a month or $72 a year, plus any applicable taxes. Payment is processed by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, and their terms of sale also apply to your purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- If the trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription ends, your account becomes read-only. You can still browse, search, export and delete your nooks. Saving new nooks and asking questions pause until you subscribe.
- We may change prices. We will tell you in advance, and a new price applies from your next billing period.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.
3. Your content
What you save in Nook stays yours. You give us a limited license to host, copy, process and display your content, including with the AI and other service providers named in our Privacy Policy, only as needed to run the Service for you. You confirm that you have the right to save what you save. You are responsible for how you use third-party material you save.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or infringe anyone else’s rights through the Service;
- upload malware, or try to probe, disrupt or overload the Service;
- get around usage limits, access controls or billing;
- scrape, resell or build a competing product from the Service;
- use the WhatsApp channel or MCP connector to send spam or automated abuse.
5. AI answers
Ask generates answers with AI from the nooks you saved, and cites its sources. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Check the cited source before you rely on an answer, especially for medical, legal, financial or other important decisions.
6. Third-party services
The Service works with services we don’t control, such as Google, WhatsApp and MCP clients. Your use of them is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for them.
7. Our property
The Service, including its software, design and brand, belongs to us and our licensors. These terms don’t give you any rights in it beyond using the Service as intended. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.
8. Suspension and termination
You can stop using Nook and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if the law requires us to. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to export your data.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and its courts have jurisdiction, except where consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
